To advance the understanding, use and conservation of coral reefs through an integrated program of excellence in data gathering and sharing, education, and outreach built upon active and long term partnerships with divers, conservationists, and end users.

To support and restore living coral reefs while building and establishing healthy, thriving new and artificial coral reef ecosystems through research, education, inclusion, and current Geographic Information System technology and mapping.

To identify, analyze, and increase the understanding of environmental and societal impacts on coral reefs and coastal areas while adhering to all governmental laws and/or regulations protecting coral reefs and doing no harm.
